Many alumni from Tenshi College have gained great reputations as thoughtful and excellent caregivers.
An Integrated Curriculum in Nursing and Public Health Nursing
Tenshi College's Department of Nursing has introduced an Integrated Curriculum in Nursing and Public Health Nursing. Upon completion of a four-year program, the students are qualified to sit for the national license examinations for both nurses and public health nurses. In 2004, a Graduate School of Midwifery Master's Degree Program (a professional degree program) was established and it allows students to learn and prepare to become midwives at graduate program.
Social transitions are followed by changes in any health care system. Recently, the duration of hospitalization in Japan tends to be far shorter than used to be the norm. Therefore, we continue to search for better community-focused health care services and better ways to fulfill the wide range of patient needs. In these days of nursing under a new framework, obtaining an education in both nursing and public health nursing means you will be trained as a competent professional whose abilities will meet the ever-changing needs of our time.
Tenshi College is based on Christian Humanism. When trying to understand other people and other spiritual values, an emphasis on love for humanity is always reflected in our goals. Our students develop in the humanities through daily educational activities. This is why Tenshi College alumni often gain reputations as thoughtful and excellent caregivers, and it is said that they are outstanding.
