Overseas Training and International Exchange

The professional knowledge and skills of Japanese nurses and dietitians are highly valued abroad and many alumni from Tenshi College have played active roles in countries outside Japan. In order to understand different cultures and broaden your perspectives, Tenshi College provides opportunities for Overseas Training and International Exchange. In addition and as part of globalization, foreign language abilities and a broad education are strongly desired even when making a career within the country.

Overseas Training

From March 14 to 31 of 2004, Overseas Training for an 18 day period was conducted in the suburbs of Seattle, Washington U.S.A.. This training's goal was to give students the opportunity to experience a different culture and to become better able to cope with globalization. The participants attended lectures on nursing and nutrition, observed related facilities, experienced home stays, and had small-size English classes.

International Exchange

During the spring break as freshmen, you can participate in an experience-based tour of the Philippines with students from other colleges and universities. This tour aims to give students sufficient time, by spending several days outside Japan, to reconsider the function and responsibilities of nurses and dietitians. In addition to learning, meeting people with bright smiles in spite of a poorer economic outlook than Japan, is one of the main charms of this tour.
