Liberal Arts and Sciences

In order to comprehend our rapidly changing society, gaining universal knowledge is essential.

Tenshi College's School of Nursing and Nutrition, made up of the Department of Nursing and the Department of Nutrition, welcomes those who seek a professional career in the areas of nursing or nutrition. We offer highly specialized educations in each field aiming to foster professionals worthy of national license in accordance with our spirit, "Per Caritatem Ad Veritatem - To the Truth through Love." As health professionals, both the nurse and the dietitian are required to possess those competencies which are necessary to accomplish their tasks by adjusting or evolving with the ever changing situations brought by social transitions and technological advances. Therefore, Tenshi College emphasizes a full-fledged liberal arts education as a foundation for supporting your lifelong career. Like a fixed star is your guide during a sailing, the acquirement of universal knowledge is essential to life.

Tenshi College's School of Nursing and Nutrition provides Liberal Arts and Science courses which are classified into five groups: Human Life and Culture; Human Life and Society; Human Life and Natural Sciences; Foreign Languages; and Health and Sports. The first three groups, being centered on the humanities, are designed to learn and reconsider one's existing knowledge of the human, social, and natural sciences. The study of "Foreign Languages" aims for highly practical use of foreign languages. In "Health and Sports," you will deepen the understanding of the efficacy of those sports that are already available for local residents to develop better lives and to consider sports as a means of self-management of one's health.
